Our Story

Three Decades of Service in Almaty

The Rotary Club of Almaty was chartered in 1994 as Kazakhstan emerged as an independent nation. A small group of visionary business and civic leaders believed that the Rotary spirit of "Service Above Self" was exactly what their growing city needed.

Over thirty years, we have grown from a founding group of 12 to over 80 active members representing every sector of Almaty society — and our work has touched hundreds of thousands of lives.
