As part of a new social education initiative, Rotary Club of Almaty launched fundraising for an international Rotary Foundation grant to support Specialised (Correctional) Kindergarten No. 2 in Almaty.
Founded in 1961 and later reprofiled as a correctional institution, the kindergarten serves children with intellectual developmental needs. Although the facility had undergone reconstruction, staff identified a continuing shortage of specialised teaching aids, correction equipment and developmental materials.
The club coordinated with District 2430, secured support from local authorities, and began outreach to additional international Rotary partners, including South Korean clubs, to meet grant co-funding requirements.
