One of Rotary Club of Almaty's active social initiatives is support for the "Ken Zhurek" project, launched after a direct request from the public foundation and an assessment of the epilepsy situation among children in Almaty.
Under this programme, children up to 16 years old from low-income families with disability status and a diagnosed epilepsy condition receive access to two critical services: video-EEG monitoring and therapeutic drug monitoring for key anti-epileptic medications.
The project addresses a serious access gap in specialist diagnostics and helps families make evidence-based treatment decisions earlier. Rotary Club of Almaty continues to invite partners and donors to expand this support and reach more children in need.
