In Abai village of Almaty Region, one family was raising 19 children in very difficult conditions. The household had limited space and lacked essential appliances needed for daily life.
After sharing the case with international Rotary partners, Rotarians from Jeju Nohyeong (South Korea) travelled to Almaty and helped purchase and deliver essential equipment, including a large refrigerator, a washing machine and a television.
This project became another example of rapid cross-border Rotary cooperation: even when partners live in different countries, timely solidarity can significantly improve living conditions for vulnerable children.
