Rotary Club of Almaty presented a spectacular new charity evening with a Georgian theme — "The Grape Harvest Festival" — held in the garden of the InterContinental hotel on 10 September 2016.
Guests were transported to the heart of Georgia for an unforgettable evening: soloists from Tbilisi performed live, the finest Georgian wines and brandy were served, and an authentic Georgian feast was laid out. The festivities included a traditional grape-treading ceremony where guests pressed grapes with their own feet, an installation fashion show by Georgian designer Magda, and an exhibition of Georgian artists.
The evening was designed to bring people together in warm, soulful fellowship — the true spirit of Rotary — while raising funds for the club's ongoing social programmes supporting children and families in Almaty.
Thank you to all guests, performers, and partners who made this extraordinary evening possible. In Rotary, we believe that joy and generosity go hand in hand.
