As part of the broader "Clean Air Almaty" platform, Rotary Club of Almaty carried out a project to equip a dedicated educational classroom — an "asthma school" — at Children's City Clinical Hospital No. 2 in Almaty.

Each year, approximately 2,000 children from Almaty and the Almaty Oblast receive treatment at this hospital. After reviewing the hospital administration's request, Rotary Club of Almaty allocated funds to purchase furniture, educational materials, visual teaching aids, and individual breathing equipment samples — nebulisers — for asthmatic children, to be used in demonstration lessons.

The primary goal of creating this "school" is to conduct training sessions for children suffering from asthma and their parents. During the educational classes, both children and parents learn how to use the breathing devices correctly and how to respond appropriately in various health-critical situations.

By equipping this classroom, Rotary Club of Almaty has helped transform how young patients and their families understand and manage asthma — giving them practical tools, confidence, and a safer path forward.
